Steve continues his axioms series with number ten: fail fast. He's quick to separate the trite Instagram version of the phrase from what he actually means, don't be afraid to make a decision and find out fast whether it worked.
He applies it to hiring, where he'll bring on multiple candidates knowing some won't work out, and to product launches, where the first version is rarely the final one. The point isn't recklessness, it's speed paired with not betting the farm on any single decision.
A useful frame for anyone stuck overthinking a decision that doesn't need to be perfect.
