Data when best used will give number-driven results. Its impact in the business will show areas of strengths and areas that needs improvement. However, if the business is being run by 90% emotion and 10% data-driven decision, the tendency is the business will have unstable decision and missed opportunities.

Data is important. The more you used data over emotions, the more you see results. And the more you see positive results, the more you can make careful analysis that can lead to strategic decisions for the future.
